Christ Lutheran Preschool
Our program focuses on nurturing the whole child through creative, academic, spiritual, and social growth. It supplements the home by providing an enriched environment in which children may develop to their full potential while enjoying the companionship of children their own age.

Christ Lutheran Preschool was established in 1958 (President Eisenhower’s grandchildren attended in the first years).
Preschool Teacher Lori Weaver has been with the school for 30 years and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in providing a quality Early Childhood Education. Ms. Weaver is assisted by Jane Clements, who brings wonderful experience to the classroom.
Our daily schedule includes center time, with changing themes and activities, circle time, crafts, music, outdoor activities, snacks, and reading. We encourage parent participation as classroom helpers. We supplement the curriculum with field trips, special holiday events for the whole family, and guest speakers.
Our program includes a weekly chapel time, led by Pastor Herr, that is designed to instill in each child an awareness of God and God’s love. Through Bible readings, songs, and prayers, the life of Jesus and concepts of Christian discipleship are introduced. A weekly Music Time is also a part of the program and is led by Christ Lutheran Cantor Cathy Elkiss. This is a time for the students to sing, learn basic music concepts, and have fun.
